I've had a similar experience with Zimbabwean money. The $100 Trillion note is worthless as currency, but cost $20 as a collectable.

Or the Venezuelan Bolivar, for that matter.

I've got an Imperial Russian Ruble in my collection. As well as a ReichMark.
