Why Teka's parents decided to tell her the truth about her origins in front of her whole family, rather than tell that in private, possibly knowing the risks that could befall on her?

Teka's status need to be clairified as a matter of record, so it had to be public, at least to the family.

With that whole passel of sour pusses in frame 3 of the prior page? They had to make it explicitly and legally clear that SHE was the heir, and the rest of them could just suck eggs. No idea whether it will stick in court or not, but with her status publicly confirmed, they're going to have a much harder time kicking her out of the heir's position.
If their legal system has probate, it would be a good idea to pre-probate their will; that way, the parents are still alive to prove beyond any doubt that the will is valid and proper. As sour as some of those faces looked -- panel 2 of this page -- pre-probate is almost certainly a good idea.

We worry when we get these long gaps in updates.
Can we cheer you up somehow?

That assumes that pre-probate is a legal option in this system. Would be a good idea nevertheless. THE COLONEL

The "lady" in panel 2(ms. Sealpoint?) is not a happy camper. And what is the significance of the collar s/neckbands on the ladies? THE COLONEL
