I don't know your head or universe to try such a thing, but as a joke/tease I did write a chapter for a buddy while he was only halfway done writing it. I did good enough of a job that other then adding a couple lines he used it as was. (Why yes, me be crazy - it beats being sane! ;-) )

I've bought three versions of the RPG now and have yet to find a group of players who grok the setting.

I actually became aware of the comic by getting the (first) RPG.
I've never found anyone to play it with, but I have loved the setting (and the story) ever since.

@McThag @darkstripe I too, came to the comic via the RPG. It has long sat on my list of "I'd love to play this, but can't generate interest" games, sadly.

And now that there is a new game come out, set in a time before the written story and largely based on the fairly good speculations of a bunch of gamers, there is apt to be a new wave of fan fiction, maybe? Certainly some creative interpretations of what might have been. We'll see how that goes.
